A hand-assembled tinder kit, put together by me and ready to use straight from the tin.
- Kapok - Ignites easily but burns fast, great for that initial spark
- Fatwood sticks - Burns strong and long, will ignite even in wet conditions
- Jute rope - Can be used as is or pulled apart into fine fibres to be ignited
- Charcloth - Strike with a flint and steel, ferro rod, lighter or match to create an ember, turn it into flame with a tinder bundle
The idea behind this kit is simple - a handful of natural tinders to muck around with, or actually get a fire going when it counts.
Inside your package you'll also find a QR code linking to a guide on how to use each tinder, if you're not sure where to start.
